According to Built In Chicago, a local non-profit that works to promote digital entrepreneurship here in the Windy City, 128 digital start-ups launched in Chicago in 2011, a 56 percent increase over 2010.
No doubt, Chicago has a long way to go before becoming the next Silicon Valley, but as this column from Crain’s Chicago Business explains, there are plenty of reasons why Chicago is a great place to start a business, namely:
